Preheat Oven to 450°
In large bowl mix flour, baking powder, soda and salt.
Using pastry blender or fork, cut in shortening until mixture resembles course crumbs.
Stir in buttermilk until mixture forms a soft moist dough.
Knead dough lightly on a floured surface until no longer sticky.
Press dough out to about ½ inch thickness.
Cut with floured 2 in. round cutter.
Place Biscuits on ungreased cookie sheet or baking stone.
Bake 450° for 8-12 minutes until light golden brown on top.
