As you open the door and walk into your house filled with the aroma of Home Made Cinnamon Rolls life suddenly gets better. You can bake this recipe with confidence that you will have mouthwatering treats for all in the family.
This recipe is one that I have used for years, not only for family use but for selling at farmers market. I will share tips that have helped me make these better.
Tips for Best Cinnamon Rolls
There are a couple of ingredients that make all sweet dough including Cinnamon Rolls much better. First, always use unsalted butter in recipes. Next, almond extract makes most sweet baked goods better too.
You have to knead the dough in this recipe. The best way to check if the dough has had enough kneading is to make a little indention in the dough with your finger, about a quarter of an inch deep. If the dough quickly bounces back to fill the hole, you have done enough kneading. The dough should be smooth and shiny. This makes the rolls light and fluffy yet dense enough to hold together.
When setting the dough to rise, find an area that is warm and free of draft. I like to cover my dough with a tea towel, some like to cover with plastic wrap to keep the top from drying out.

I like to add a little cloves into my brown sugar cinnamon mixture, that is personal taste. You can experiment and decide what flavors you like best.
